For me, abstract painting is a thought or an emotion. It's a moment in time spread out on a canvas for all to see. Articulating these emotions into a realm of color, texture, and composition dictates the final piece. Learning and working is a simultaneous adventure that requires great concentration while allowing myself to get lost in the process along the way.
